India
Our church has strong links with India, not just supporting Pastor Sam and his work
with Bethesda Missions (see below) but supporting Pastor Raj Kumar in his work
with Nest Worldwide Ministries in Bangalore. Pastor Raj is involved in a large
number of ministries in India, and also spends time preaching in Germany, Holland,
Singapore, Malaysia, England and the U.S. The projects he co-ordinates are aimed
at feeding both the physical needs and spiritual needs of the Indian People.
Raj has a passion for evangelism and Church Planting, especially in the remote unreached
villages of Northern Tamil Nadu where he has so far built and opened four thriving
Churches since the mid-1990's.
Pastor Raj has long been a friend of KLBC and has come to visit us on many occasions.
Mac & Joy Hoare have also visited him and his work on occasion. For more
information about Pastor Raj and Nest Worldwide Ministries visit their website:

Bethesda Missions
Nestling into the surrounding tea plantations of the Nilgri Hills are the villages
of Coonoor, Erumad and Pandalur, it is here that we find three orphanages caring
for more than 125 children, 15 widows and seven families acting as home staff.
Pastor G. Samuel started the mission in 1986. Sam grew up in a children’s home,
after being taken from his mother at birth to prevent his uncles killing him to
safeguard their own inheritances. He was adopted by a Christian couple but was sent
to another children’s home when his foster father died. He had no one to visit him
in the home and was often hungry and lonely.
After attending a Christian mission, just to get a square meal, Sam became a Christian.
Someone paid for him to attend Bible school; he then started his first church, with
just himself and his foster mother. He now supports 16 churches.
Sam believes that God has called him to provide a place of love, shelter and safety
for children, widows and destitute people; people often rejected by their families
and society. This work is dependent on donations from the west and is supported
by various churches in the UK, including King’s Lynn Baptist Church.
£15 a month: the difference between life and death. £15 a month will provide food,
clothing, shelter, education and basic health care for one of the children. Providing
for one child is the same price as having a magazine a week or an Indian meal in
a local restaurant.
Please pray for Sam, his family, his co-workers and the children in his care. Pray
for their safety and care and that God will continue to bless this amazing work.
You could help to make a difference in India by sponsoring a child or making a donation
towards this work. Please contact the office for more details.
